us to handle her babies. She has been very distressed if we pick them up and with this being her first litter we do not want to cause her any stress so we have left them well alone for now. To this end we have no idea of the weights or sexes of our new arrivals but will hope to further update you next week. Hope is also being helped out by Lili who is the kittens Grand Mother, it is so nice to see them all as a happy family.

This diary entry begins on a very sad note. Two of our dear babies passed away despite our best efforts to keep them with us. We are however delighted that our remaining three babies are thriving beyond our expectations. We know what colours and sexes we have now so have been able to give them a theme at last. In line with the weather being really hot when the babies arrived they are collectively called “The Spices”. We have Saffron a Lilac Point female and Cumin and Paprika both Blue Point males. 2 |

of the babies have opened their eyes and all 3 have lost their umbilical cords. Saffron is a great big girl and the largest kitten I have ever had. Hope is doing a fabulous job and rarely leaves her babies sides. She is being helped out by Louis and Lili and has already introduced Diesel to them as well. |
